Praise for Your Best Investment: Secrets to a Healthy Body and Mind
Dr Lee knows his stuff
I chose this book because Dr. Lee is located locally here to me and I wanted to learn more about him and to get more information. One of my guy friends in his 30’s was overweight for a long time and he went to Dr. Lee and he has gained energy and lost half his body weight. It changed his life. I highly recommend this book to women and men

Best book explaining insulin resistance!!!!!
I have been going to endocrinologist all my life and always felt like they didn’t get it right with my hormonal problems…..until I saw Dr. Edwin Lee and got his book: “Your best investment”!!!! This is a life saving book for people with thyroid problems or PCOS or any type of insulin resistance. It not only educates you, but it also gives you many recipes to help you implement your new lifestyle! Dr. Edwin Lee….keep informing us please!!!!!

A very special physician!
Dr. Lee is not only a very special physician, he is a very special individual who genuinely cares about your overall health. He takes so much time and pays so much attention to your health and progress. It’s refreshing in this day and age! After only three months under his care, I feel like I’m 21, not 61!
The book is very informative and educates you on a lot of different medical issues. It gives a very in depth explanation of many ailments and symptoms associated with fatigue and lack of energy. Dr. Lee explains the ins and outs of why we feel tired and have no energy. He gets very detailed with his advice and reasoning for reversing this common aging problem. As I was reading the book I was just really hoping there wasn’t an exam at the back end because, although interesting and the fact that it all made sense, could I remember all of the medical terms? No way! I would have failed miserably. But, Dr. lee went to med school for many, many years and I didn’t. I’m reading another one of Dr. Lee’s books right now…..

A Wealth of Health Information to your ‘Fountain of Youth’
I was invited to hear Dr. Lee speak and was so fascinated with the wealth of health information he gives I started taking notes. Thank goodness he wrote this book (and also his 1st, ‘Feel Good, Look Younger’). ‘Your Best Investment, secrets to a healthy body and mind’ covers a range of weight loss secrets, lifestyle improvements, and packed with meal plans, recipes, and especially his famous smoothies. I have enjoyed it now for awhile and refer to it often. It’s a health guide that I’ve shared with friends and they tell me they “couldn’t put it down”. I finally made an appointment with to Dr. Lee and was pleased with how personalized his recommendations are – he truly gets to the root of what your experiencing in your health and he listened so well, was able to figure out what was complicating something else, gave me a corrective action plan in various areas of my symptoms, diet, exercise, lifestyle, prescriptions, suggestions, tips on shopping, etc. I was amazed – when he ‘tweeked’ it by the second visit, I couldn’t believe what a difference it made in my body and mind, I feel so much better. He is a problem solver – it was impressive how one doctor could completely correct what various other doctors over years never connected – I told him “You hit the nail on the head”. It was so worth it to go to him when I otherwise would have gone on for years with my symptoms. He wants all of his patients to live longer healthier lives. This book holds a wealth of information for your health, it is a ‘keeper’ !

Dr Lee Continues To Change Lives
I enjoyed this book as much as I did his first book “Feel Good Look Younger” . The information is so valuable, interesting, easy to understand and informative I couldn’t put the book down. I can’t recommend this book enough if you really care about how you feel and look. If you follow his suggestions in both books you will be amazed at the changes you will experience in your own life. I would suggest, also,if you can see him as a physician that would be the icing on the cake. HE WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I have been seeing him for about 13 years as a patient and I am not the same person. I am healthier, feel great about myself, and look younger. The best investment in your life is to take care of yourself. Dr Lee is patient, responsive, and is always there to help and can help you in these books. If you can’t see him as a patient…read the books!

A Change in Direction
It was the results from my blood tests last month that finally convinced me to take some action. I’m 54 years old and my blood pressure was high, my cholesterol and triglycerides were high, my blood sugar was high, my insulin level was high, I had gained significant mass around my midsection, I was lethargic and I was drinking too much. (It seemed like when I was drinking was the only time I had any energy). This was not a good combination! My endocrinologist said that I had most of the symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome and would soon be staring diabetes in the face. At his suggestion I picked up a copy of this book.
One month after reading this book and putting the ideas into action, my blood tests results have shown progress in every area. I am not going to tell you that it was easy because it required a complete change in my shopping habits and diet. It required I stop drinking. No sugar. No simple starch. Cut down on the red meat, etc, etc. It was like going through a mini-withdrawal. But two weeks into my change I actually started to feel good about it and looked forward to my `healthy’ meals.
The format for meal planning made my transition as easy as could be. All meals planned out for me everyday for the first month. All recipes were easy to understand and prepare. There was even a list of those things that should be purchased organic and those that are safer to buy non-organic. (I eventually went organic for almost everything.) The menu planning for the second (and subsequent) months was a little less strict, with the introduction of some complex carbs such as brown rice and whole wheat bread which was not part of the initial month.
I am now heading into my third month and my `diet’ now seems just like normal eating. When I enter the supermarket, most of my time is spent in the produce section and I intuitively know what I will need for the week. I now crave salad and look forward to a smoothie every day. My longings for sugar (and alcohol) are gone and my energy level is higher and much more level throughout the day. I’ve even started to exercise again (amazing). In short, I feel great.
If you are concerned about your health, you must pay more attention to what you put in your body. Dr. Lee’s book will give you a roadmap to optimize your health through your diet. I just read YOUR BEST INVESTMENT this weekend. Understanding the proper diet ingredients was fairly straight forward, but I was really helped by the menus put together by Alison Gordon, which translated those ingredients into things I can actually eat. A wonderful effort by Edwin Lee, Alison Gordon and Laura Gavin.

Truth be Told about managing your health…
This book is the road map we all need to stay in the best possible health as we age. It doesn’t have any hype or sales pitch for some cure all pill. Instead, it’s a easy read about how and why we age and the areas that are still ignored by most doctors even with proof to the contrary. More importantly it walks you thru what you can do to stop and possibly reverse the damage caused by a myriad of environmental and misguided medical myths. Feeling Better Faster
Excellent read. Great for connecting the dots to optimal health. It was refreshing to finally find a doctor who believes in a “whole-body” methodical approach to wellness, rather than the conventional protocol of just treating the symptoms. Dr Lee’s clear and concise explanation of endocrine, hormonal and nutritional balance was extremely beneficial, and I enjoyed the illustrations. I would highly recommend this book to anyone committed to feeling better.

Dr. Lee explains things in a very masterful yet reader-friendly style. He covers topics like food intolerances, adrenal fatigue, hormones, then broadens his discussion to include nutrition, detoxification, exercise, and other health-promoting activities. That covers a lot of ground, yet Dr. Lee gets to the heart of each topic, offering a concise, easy to understand overview. He cites research painlessly, and sprinkles patient testimonies along the way to highlight his points and add interest. He offer practical suggestions and bullet-point summaries for each chapter, making it smooth, practical and an easy to reference.

Gifted writer and doctor
After reading Dr. Lee’s book all of the little pieces finally made sense. Trying to fix a complex machine by looking at just one part (or one test result), when all pieces are interdependant, will not fix the machine. Dr. Lee is perhaps the first physician to make this complex, interdependant system easy to understand. I encourage anyone who is looking to understand their bodies in a whole different way to read this book.

.I WISH THIS BOOK HAD BEEN PUBLISHED 10 YEARS AGO
I ordered this book after inquiring about a good endocrinologist when I moved to Orlando this year. I thought it a good idea to read a book that my potential doctor had written as I had some disappointing experiences with previous endocrinologists. I had been misdiagnosed and put into the catch all category of chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, and depression. I have dog-eared and high-lighted many many pages. It is incredible to me that finally someone, Dr. Lee, puts into words and explains clearly what I have been experiencing in the last 5 years. His approach combines western and eastern approach, a truly integrative and functional approach to medicine, using IV vitamin therapy, as well as herbs, diet and lifestyle and cleanses. My life as a busy and motivated person was brought to a screeching halt, I was practically bedridden a year ago. There are not a lot of western trained MDs that offer a holistic approach combined with cutting edge western medicine. I am now reading his next book… Your Best Investment a recipe book more or less. I am a Registered Nurse and A Registered Dietitian, and I concur with all that Dr. Lee has written not only from a professional point of view; but from a deeply personal place. I am grateful to be under his care.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more on how to better take care of their body and to feel better. With the typical lifestyle we live, we are under a lot of stress and poor diet, which impacts out health in the long run. Dr. Lee in the book helped me to understand and learn about how the body functions and how something simple as hormonal imbalance, that most physicians do not usualy check, could help improve consistent problems in health. It is an easy read that breaks down each of the hormones and some other key topics that we all need to hear to get back on track to health. This book also includes several patient stories that tie in on how Dr. Lee approches their problems and how he helped them resolve their health challenges to feeling better. I recommend this book to anyone looking to optimize their health and feel better.

Written intelligently and thoughtfully – filled in the “why”
The last year or so I have been on a quest to find out what the symptoms I am having really mean. I have read a dozen books and every article I can find on hormone topics; but none of the other books had what this book has. This book is written by an informed doctor who speaks to his patients, and readers, on an intelligent level. There is no “dumbing down” – it is clear and concise and answers the “why”.
Each chapter has a summary which I found very useful as I have gone back to the book multiple times. This hormonal issue is one that seems to have many moving parts, and symptoms that also could be so many other things… but Dr. Lee pulls it all together and it was a relief, and a pleasure, to have a doctor explain hormones to me in an intelligent and thoughtful way. I especially like the testimonials that brought the human experience into the message – I really loved this book and am grateful there is a doctor who “gets it”.

A master piece full of insightful information vital to good health! After years of suffering from hypothyroid and dealing with chronic fatigue I found Dr.Lee’s book to be a gift of hope. Amazing Reviews for Your Amazing Heart
Great for Great Grandchildren and their parents and their parents and their parents!
I love this book, such a great source of information for young children and a good read by those that raise them. I happen to come from a biological family who has lost the greater number of siblings and cousins to massive heart attacks. I highly recommend this book so that children can learn how to life safely whether they are exposed to heart disease or not. Great book Dr. Ed, I bought 6 copies, one for each of my great grandchildren and their parents. Again, a great source of information, thanks.

great for all ages
This book is simple and practical and lays out the basic facts that will teach you to take care of your heart, thus taking care of your body and overall well being. It maintains that sugar is one of the main culprits leading to high bp and an unhealthy heart. Basically….it teaches youngsters and reminds adults of why it’s so important to keep active and avoid too much sugar which leads to an unhealthy heart.

Fantastic Book
My daughter often takes books to school, most of the time they are Disney books. Recently she took Your Amazing Heart. The children loved it. Her teacher told me that the children asked so many questions she would gladly read it again another day. Miss Brittney was impressed with thier reactions to how there body works. Recently, I bought two more books, One for a gift and another for the teachers children at home. My daughter asks which foods are bad for her now. I love this book!
My daughter is 8 years old and she loved this book. She said “Mommy I have to start eating my vegetables even though I don’t like them.” She is an active child but eating her veggies has always been a challenge until she read this book. I bought a copy for both of my nieces after seeing that my daughter enjoyed it so much. A must read for children and adults!

Not Just for Children
As a practicing diabetic eye doctor (retina specialist) many of the concepts that are covered in Dr. Lee’s kook while applicable to children are applicable to all ages. Medicine is very complex and sometimes adults have a hard time or are embarassed to ask simple questions. This book goes a long way to explaining how you can help yourself and stay healthy. This is a must read for children and adults who want to understand how to prevent heart disease in simple and understandable terms.

Awesome Reviews for Your Awesome Brain
A MUST READ FOR ALL PARENTS WITH CHILDREN!
As a mother, Nurse Practitioner, and Consultant to a School District, I highly recommend that ALL parents read this book and then have your children read it. Isn’t it every parent’s dream to have their children grow up extremely intelligent (going for the college scholarships) and with a personality that is endearing to all those around them? And don’t we all spend lots of money paying for the best pre-school programs and the SAT preparation courses in order to give them the best chance to reach their optimal potential! It just makes sense that we would also follow what is outlined in this book to protect our children’s brains from outward and inward insults. Children should grow up thinking that wearing a helmet when riding a bike is no different from buckling a seat belt when getting into a car. Also, if food is our fuel for the brain, we should protect our children’s brain from the daily insults of sugary, high fructose corn syrup with chemical such as artificial colors and flavors. Let your children see for themselves the “simple but SO true” lessons from this book how to best PROTECT ourselves so we all have “awesome brain power”!

Your Awesome Brain is an awesome read!
I purchased Your Awesome Brain for my two middle school-aged children. I was surprised to see how eagerly they read thru the story while stopping at certain lines to ask me if I knew some of the facts that were written in the book. Your Awesome Brain, with it’s colorful descriptions and illustration is a good read for parents and kids alike. My favorite part of the book is the topic of the effects of sugar on the brain. I’ve been trying to tell my children for years how bad sugar is for them but for them to see it in black and white (and red and blue and pink and purple) and to know that it came directly from a doctor made them rethink some of their habits. I recommend every family buy this book. Read it with your children. Thank you Dr. Lee for writing a book that my kids can relate to.

Great read for kids
I bought this for my 8 year old niece who is so bright and full of creativity, however she is the pickiest eater around. What kid doesn’t like sugar, heck what person doesn’t? My hope is that after reading this book she will see the importance of changing what she “likes” to eat. Dr. Lee is always encouraging healthy eating. Another Dr. of mine also says you can trick you brain into liking healthy foods. It’s so true, what you may not have liked before, can turn out to be one of the foods you crave most. Great book, easy read, here’s to hoping she’ll learn how to ride a bike and always wear her helmet!

Dr. Lee has written another excellent book
He has managed to take very difficult concepts in brain preservation and has made it very simple for a new generation. I would recommend that this be mandatory reading for health classes up to 8th grade. My 16 year old son has also read the book and has said that the way the information is presented is captivating, flowing, and entertaining. And he has utilized the information already.

I read the book with my granddaughters and they just kept reading the book over and over learning and laughing at the wonderfully silly and educational illustrations. They still enjoy reading his other children’s book “Your Amazing Heart” and have learned some much from both books.This is a great interactive book for the whole family and should be in every child’s library! Keep up the great work!!
